With 2 cameras, accelerometer, gyrometer, touch sensors, 4 microphones and 25 motors, NAO is an innovative Linux device with some powerful capabilities in object recognition, face detection, text to speech and collision detection. We will first introduce its basic software and hardware architecture. Then we will demonstrate how to develop applications using the Java SDK, such as developing a brain for your robot in pure Java or creating a NAO remote controller using an Android mobile device.
