Abstract:
In an increasingly interconnected world, information collected from the Things around us can provide incredible benefits at work and in our day-to-day lives. However, issues around privacy and data security must be addressed in order to ensure this information won’t be exploited. We’ll explore the use cases (and security requirements) of APIs for the Internet of Things.
Jaime Ryan has been developing secure architectures throughout his career, as a developer, author, consultant, architect, strategist, and evangelist. His focus is on opening the enterprise to new channels while maintaining the expected level of security. He currently works for CA Technologies as a Director of Product Management & Strategy for the Security business unit; he was previously responsible for technical alliances, strategy, and marketing at Layer 7 Technologies.
