This tutorial is for all intermediate and advanced developers with experience in other platforms and would like to dive into Node.js for the first time and learn what it's all about. This is a hands on workshop, so you'll need to bring a laptop. You'll benefit greatly from having OSX or a common linux distro like Ubuntu. Many of the tools we'll be using also work on Windows, but some may not. If in doubt, load up an Ubuntu VM using VirtualBox and vagrant!
