Learn how to attend a conference day for free
As the Producer of QCon, C4Media is dedicated to Facilitating the spread of knowledge and innovation in enterprise software development and therefore has developed the global QCon Conferences towards that end. Consistent with this educational focus, c4media invites students who are interested in the highly dynamic field of engineering, to join us as a Student Volunteer. As a student volunteer at QCon New York, you get a chance to mingle with the hottest rock stars of Java, Object Orientation and .NET!
The 2012 QCon New York Conference opens for 5 content-rich days on Monday, June 18 starting with 3 full days of over 80 sessions and social events for the first 3 days of the Conference, with 2 final Tutorial days, Thursday and Friday. The program includes an impressive list of international speakers from leading universities and software companies who represent the latest in enterprise design and architecture where you will hear about interesting applications and developments first-hand from the world’s leading architects in enterprise software today.
What to Expect
As QCon student volunteer you will help with 12-hour logistical onsite logistical support during the conference from session room badge scanning, directing attendees to their seats, registration staffing and other similar onsite event duties. In return for your volunteer work, you will be given carte blanche entrance to sessions of your choosing (space permitting, paid attendees get first-served preference) and social events for free, with the exception of those where you will be fulfilling your 12-hour volunteer commitment.
Tutorials – Thursday and Friday, June 20 and 21
Volunteer schedules can be accommodated for a few Student Volunteers who prefer to work the Tutorial days of the conference and take advantage of sitting in some of the Tutorial sessions during times they are not on volunteer duty.
