We've made a big bet on native application development, but have also experimented a great deal with HTML5, responsive design and hybrid applications. This session will provide an overview of the architecture behind nytimes.com and share how our cloud strategy influences the design of our mobile applications. We'll look at the tools and frameworks employed by The Times to build and support its mobile initiatives and dig into the ways in which our mobile applications have evolved since 2008.		Brian Murphy, The New York Times Brian is responsible for mobile and gaming at The New York Times. His teams are charged with enhancing society by delivering high-quality news, information and entertainment to users on all mobile platforms and devices. Prior, Brian was the Chief Architect at Condé Nast where he and his team built the systems behind all of their brands, including Wired, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair and Epicurious, just to name a few. Together, these deployments service in excess of a billion page views per month. When he's not doing "research" on a nearby gaming console or mobile device, Brian can be found spending time with his wife and two sons.
