Abstract

The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) recently released the Panama Papers as a downloadable Neo4j database. In this session, we’ll show you how to use Neo4j 3 to analyze the Panama Papers dataset from Python — discovering the connections between corporations, their officers, and intermediaries.

The Py2neo library we’ll use takes advantage of the new Bolt binary protocol for Neo4j which enables more seamless interoperability due to common data types being used between the client and server. In addition to showing standard graph queries using the Cypher query language, we’ll also show how you can call Java Stored Procedures via Cypher to run graph algorithms on the data.
