Presentation

Each speaker's presentation is assigned to a track; and we encourage speakers to stay with the track all day and help precipitate good discussions throughout the day.

Please come to your presentation at least 15 minutes before the start of your presentation. Each track will have a host. Your speaker host will introduce you before going on stage and (s)he will help you with practical issues if needed. Volunteers will be at the door to make sure each attendee has the appropriate badge and to assist with traffic flow.

Each room will have screen, projector, lapel microphone and wireless internet access. Please bring your own presentation laptop and adapters. It is important that your laptop resolution is set to: 1024 x 768 or 800 x 600 on the VGA output plug. This will prevent display issues between the laptop and the projector.

Presentation slides

We will upload your presentation slides and make them available on the QCon website. The host will have a memory stick to hold your slides for upload. Please provide your host with a .pdf copy of your slides immediately after the presentation.

Filming Sessions

Some conference presentations will be filmed for posting on InfoQ.com where the speakers can get viewed by thousands instead of just hundreds at the conference. We will ask you if we may record your presentation upon onsite registration. Example video.

Evaluation

Each presentation will be evaluated by the QCon attendees. Please remember to encourage the attendees to fill out the evaluation at the end of your presentation. You will receive the results of the attendee evaluations after the conference.

QCon is very interested in hearing your feedback about the conference. We will send you an electronic evaluation form and encourage you to send in your candid feedback as we strive for continuous improvement and encourage open communication with our speakers and value your perspective.
