Presentation: How Cloud Database Enables Efficient Real-Time Analytics

Location:

Day of week:

10:15am - 11:05am

This talk outlines how cloud computing infrastructure can fundamentally change the performance of database workloads such as real-time analytics. Conventionally, cloud computing has been viewed as "renting hardware" instead of owning it. However, cloud infrastructure can do much more, allowing you to scale massively with effective workload scheduling algorithms.

The talk will also touch on ACID-compliant transactions, which has for many years been a challenging topic for NoSQL because of the distributed architecture. We will show you how did we solved the issue of handling multi-document updates consistently in a distributed environment and how does it enabled many use-cases where data integrity was a hard requirement.
